About Us
From a humble beginning to a nationwide movement, No To Our Future has had a remarkable journey. Let’s delve into our history and explore how we’ve grown to become a leading resource for New Zealand’s youth.
Our Inception
Our story began in 2008 when our founder, John Patterson, a passionate health educator, recognized a need for an effective anti-smoking campaign directed at New Zealand’s young population. He launched No To Our Future with a clear vision: To create a healthier, happier New Zealand by empowering our youth with the knowledge and resources they need to live a balanced, fulfilling life.
Broadening Our Spectrum
While we started with an anti-smoking stance, we soon realized that to truly empower our audience, we needed to address a wider spectrum of wellness topics. In 2012, we expanded our platform to include resources on mindfulness, holistic wellbeing, and positive living. This strategic shift was well received by our audience and marked a significant milestone in our journey.
Overcoming Challenges
Like any organization, we faced our share of challenges. In 2014, we faced a major setback when our website was hacked and taken offline. However, in line with our value of resilience, we bounced back stronger, rebuilding our platform with enhanced security measures. This incident not only tested our resilience but also deepened our commitment to providing reliable information to our audience.
Today and Beyond
Today, No To Our Future is a trusted resource for thousands of young individuals in New Zealand. Our comprehensive platform offers a wealth of information on a range of wellness topics, from mental health to physical wellbeing. But our journey doesn’t end here. We remain committed to our vision and values, continually seeking ways to serve our audience better.
In the words of our founder, > Our journey has just begun. We have miles to go and promises to keep. Here’s to a healthier, happier New Zealand.
As we look towards the future, we invite you to join us on this journey. Together, let’s make a difference. Together, let’s say No To Our Future.
